This hotel deserves a fresh review. The lobby is grand, spacious and tastefully decorated. It was clean and bright with a number of cute robots busy at work. There is also a classy coffee shop on one side of the lobby. The regular room was a pleasant surprise. It was large, well equipped and very clean. Each bedside had a panel for all the lights as well as USB and power outlets. The room’s bathroom had two sinks (which is more typical for suites). Separate cubicles for the shower and toilet. All the fixtures were from top brands. The breakfast buffet spread offered a wide range of Chinese dishes as well as some western options. It was complete with a salad table, an egg station and a noodle soup and dimsum counter. The lobby bar was a good, quiet place to chill after dinner. The service is outstanding and the staff was eager to serve. And when language was a barrier, the staff would call an English speaking colleague on their phone so you can talk to them. Special mention goes to the English-speaking duty manager who helped my colleague retrieve his passport from the safe of the previous hotel we stayed in. The manager did all the communicating with the other hotel across town and made all the arrangements to get the passport delivered. My colleague was not charged for any expense and refused the tip. The only minus sign: the hotel tolerates smoking in the lobby, corridors and even the elevators. But overall, this hotel deserves a 5-star rating.

Dirtiest and smelliest hotel I've been to in Beijing

What a terrible place. I unfortunately had to stay 2 weeks in two different rooms and guess what, both were terrible. About the hotel : The hotel was probably built in the 2000s, and nothing was changed since. They tried to charge me 30% more than the paid price. Only one person amongst the very rude personnel speaks basic English. It is said to be a smoke free hotel WHICH IS NOT TRUE. The smell of smoke is everywhere in this hotel including the rooms, the corridors, the lounge and people even smoked in the restaurant! About the rooms: Both of the rooms I stayed in smell like sewage and smoke. A strange smell is also released from air conditioners which surely date from the construction of the hotel (photos) and therefore may be releasing particules harmful to health. ROOMS ARE NOT CLEANED PROPERLY Rooms are very dirty and cigarette burn marks can be seen on the floor and furniture. (Photos) something strange was on the floor under a desk (photo) Nail clippings under the bed (photo) Curtains were disgusting in both rooms. (Photos) Hair was everywhere on the floor of the bathroom. (Photos) Water infiltrated furniture (photos) Battered furniture. Bed sheets were dirty as well as in a very poor condition. Restaurant: Breakfast offers a limited choice of food (noodles eggs yoghurts fruits) As the hotel is very far from good trip advisor restaurants, the only place to eat eatable food is at the hotel. The menu offers diverse attractive choices, however, approximately 1/10 of the menu is available and prices are expensive. Food is really not exeptional, I have eaten great food in the east of Beijing (chaoyang) for much cheaper. The pool : The POOL IS NOT PART OF THE HOTEL. It is part of an underground mall. Moreover, it is also very dirty and surely does not respond to basic public health and safety regulations. DO NOT RELY ON THE PICTURES YOU SEE ON THE INTERNET. (Unfortunately I can not add more than 10 pics on TripAdvisor) STAY AWAY FROM THAT PLACE ⛔

Huge hotel , half moon style, got a grand lobby that can fit 300-400 people. It is located in the 3rd or 4th circle so it is quite good to everywhere for tourist. Room was average, mine smells like cigarette buds; some rooms are bigger than others, even same grade. Buffet breakfast was a joke, need to go down to Basement 2 to find a small fast food store which has the best Chinese style fritters and soya milk. There are a few massage places in the hotel premises, but nothing goods to recommend. Well, what you pay is what you get.

A Dirty, Nasty Room

This room is not going to be a pleasant one if you are a neat freak and like good hygiene. If you have both of these characteristics, I recommend you: don’t ever go there! Before I went to the hotel I checked on TripAdvisor and the photos weren’t promising, but since I was following a tour with a secured hotel, I had no choice but to follow the plan. When I went into my room, I instantly saw some bits of white stuff on the floor. Plus, the sink’s edges had fungi, the ceiling and the table were ripping. In the end, I chose to sleep on sleeping bags. So remember, it’s going to be a dirty room!
